John serves as President and Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the overall vision and strategy for the company and its portfolios. Under John’s leadership, Tarlton’s signature property – Menlo Park Labs – has become an in-demand destination for many scientists from Stanford and other universities on their path to commercializing medical breakthroughs. As an engineer and entrepreneur, John is instrumental in helping scientists make the transition from an academic research environment to successful commercialization.
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Ron is responsible for all aspects of company operations, including development, re-development, and property management activities for an extensive portfolio of highly successful commercial properties. With a broad background in research and development, medical device and manufacturing operations, lab management and safety, construction and design, and facilities management, Ron brings a unique set of technical skills and experiences to the Tarlton team. Ron works closely with each tenant to help them create the right infrastructure for success and is instrumental in supporting scientists as they transition from an academic research environment to a commercial lab setting.
Executive Vice President, Operations
As Executive Vice President at Tarlton Properties, Elizabeth Krietemeyer provides executive leadership across acquisitions, operations, leasing, and asset management for the firm’s life science real estate platform in the San Francisco Bay Area and Austin, Texas.
Since joining Tarlton in 2014, Elizabeth has played a central role in the firm’s growth and evolution, helping scale the platform from a single campus to five purpose-built life science environments supporting more than 70 biotechnology, medical device, and life science companies. Her work has included leading more than 2 million square feet of acquisitions, overseeing over $800 million in acquisitions and dispositions, and guiding Tarlton’s first expansion outside of California with the development of a new headquarters in Austin.
Beyond portfolio growth, Elizabeth’s leadership focuses on building strong teams, fostering long-term tenant partnerships, and creating campus environments where innovation and community can thrive. She is particularly experienced in navigating periods of market and capital uncertainty, working closely with internal teams and tenants to balance disciplined execution with long-term resilience.
In addition to her role at Tarlton Properties, Elizabeth serves as President and co-founder of the Tarlton Foundation, the firm’s nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing cancer research and expanding educational access for students from underserved communities.
Elizabeth brings more than a decade of leadership experience in banking operations, including roles at U.S. Trust and Bank of America, and is recognized for her thoughtful, people-centered approach to leadership, stewardship, and organizational growth.
Senior Vice President, Capital Markets
As Senior Vice President of Capital Markets at Tarlton Properties, Jeff is responsible for the sourcing and underwriting of new acquisitions and development opportunities. Jeff creates partnerships, secures capital, and manages investor relations. He is a commercial real estate veteran with more than 20 years of experience in asset management, development, and acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining Tarlton, Jeff was Managing Director at Principal Real Estate Investors, where he managed a $2 billion real estate portfolio, developed over $1B of property, and acquired and sold assets totaling over $500 million.
Director of Construction
Chris Middlebrooks is an operations leader with more than 20 years of experience managing teams and programs in the banking and commercial real estate industries. As the Director of Construction at Tarlton, Chris has overall responsibility for construction management activities for Tarlton’s portfolio of R&D, life science, office and industrial use properties and tenants. Prior to this role, Chris served as Tarlton's Director of Property Management. Chris joined Tarlton in 2014 and has held a variety of other key roles at the company, including as a building engineer and construction manager.
Director of Operations
Cindy Vu is an operations leader with more than 15 years of experience managing teams and processes in the banking, mortgage and commercial real estate industries. As the Director of Operations at Tarlton, Cindy has overall responsibility for overseeing leasing management and property acquisition and optimizing day-to-day management processes for Tarlton’s portfolio of R&D, life science, office and industrial use properties and tenants. Cindy has worked on over 1 million square feet of property acquisitions and over 1.2 million square feet of leases and renewals of commercial space in the life science area. Her experience spans across operational strategy, optimizing processes and building frameworks, with a strong focus in driving efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Cindy joined Tarlton in 2014, after holding a variety of other roles in leasing and property management.
Director of Property Management
As the Director of Property Management at Tarlton, Nathan oversees the team managing the daily operations of Tarlton's properties. Nathan has responsibility for the physical maintenance and improvement of facilities as well as tenant relations and experience. With a background in biological sciences and 17 years of property management experience, Nathan combines his extensive facilities experience and passion for life sciences to deliver hands-on, practical solutions to operational challenges.
Senior Accounting Mgr, Controller
As Senior Accounting Manager and Controller, Raymond oversees all property accountants and A/P & A/R accountants at Tarlton. Raymond brings nearly 30 years of accounting management experience to Tarlton, with deep expertise in commercial and residential property accounting, construction development projects, real estate investment portfolios, and corporate budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Raymond joined Tarlton in 2022 after more than a decade at Woodmont Real Estate Services, where he was responsible for the accounting operations of 42 commercial properties.
Assistant Controller
As the Assistant Controller at Tarlton, Claire plays a crucial role in establishing and enforcing effective policies and procedures while assisting in training and building a strong accounting team. Claire is responsible for supervising the AP & AR team and assisting in overseeing accounting departments, and she also supports team members in their professional development through mentorship and coaching. Claire joined the Tarlton team in 2014 and has over 25 years of experience in property accounting, budgeting, and financial reports for Commercial Property Management & Development.
Board of Directors
Jay joined the Tarlton Board of Directors in 2019. He has spent his entire 30-year career as an attorney at Hopkins & Carley, where he served as co-chair of the Litigation Department for five years, and currently serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. Jay is a Shareholder of the firm and handles business and real estate disputes, including creditors’ rights in bankruptcy proceedings. He holds Martindale-Hubbell’s AV® Preeminent™ peer ranking, its highest ranking, and has repeatedly been recognized in US News Best Lawyers in America© and recently named “Lawyer of the Year” by The Best Lawyers in America©, for his work on real estate litigation.

Tarlton Properties has obtained a $105 million first lien construction loan for 3600 Breakthrough Loop, a 223,500-square-foot, build-to-suit life science office project in Austin. BillionToOne has already fully preleased the Class A facility. This will be BTO's fourth collaboration with Tarlton.

Back in 2021, the Menlo Park-based molecular diagnostics company expanded into a 35,000-square-foot space in Tarlton Properties’ Menlo Park Labs. Then last year, the company renovated 90,000 square feet in Union City — almost tripling its other lab space.
On April 15th, the Tarlton Foundation held its first Gala Fundraiser at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco. We raised over $200,000 to fund college scholarships for underserved students from Menlo Park's Belle Haven community.
